Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Jig and Fixture Builder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Builder to join our team on 2nd shift. Hours are Monday to Friday 3:30pm to 1:00am. As a Builder, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating various structures and components. This role requires experience in carpentry, the ability to use hand and power tools, and knowledge of materials handling. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements
- Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications
- Assemble and install structures and components using hand tools and power tools
- Ensure that all work is completed accurately and meets quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or builder
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, etc.
- Knowledge of materials handling techniques
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and repairs
- Experience operating power tools safely
- Forklift operation experience is a plus
- Machining skills are desirable
