Jig and Fixture Builder assembles a variety of standard and non-standard major jigs, fixtures and related tooling. Ensures jigs function appropriately with complex angles or contours. Being a Jig and Fixture Builder is responsible for determining methods and sequence of operations and scheduling work to be performed from tool design drawings. Designs and creates jig and fixture details and holding devices. Additionally, Jig and Fixture Builder may be required to verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures. Requires a high school diploma in a related area with certification in the field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Jig and Fixture Builder works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. Upstate Construction and Development Services is currently seeking Fixture Installation / Merchandising candidates for multiple projects nationwide.

A qualified candidate will have experience in store remodels / resets, merchandising and fixture installation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / JOB REQUIREMENTS • Must have the ability to work with crews during reset/remodel, meeting time expectations while maintaining work quality and safety • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license • Must own, have the knowledge of, and the ability to use hand tools including power tools • Must be able to travel to any US work location • Must be able to work evenings and weekends and be out of town for extended periods of time if the work requires
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • Prior construction experience a plus • Experience desired includes - home improvement stores, big box retail, pharmacy, planograms, national rollouts, remodel, gondola, new stores, and experience with national racking standards • Gondola / Retail Fixture installation • Deep understanding of merchandising
