    POSITION SUMMARY

    We are currently hiring a Pest Control Technician. We have full-time positions available, working Monday through Friday, and the occasional Saturday. We are seeking an individual who seeks to serve through relationships, who desires to leave a positive impact, and who strives to be an intentional problem solver. No prior pest control experience is necessary. Employees receive on-the-job training and leadership development, in addition to working with a close-knit, collaborative team and a fun work dynamic!

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals to perform the position's essential functions. Technicians are responsible for:

    • Speaking with customers and genuinely listening to their concerns
    • Conducting extensive inspections
    • Problem solving
    • Implementing exclusion methods
    • Applying pesticides when and where necessary to eliminate pests.
    • Following product label instructions
    • Utilizing baiting and monitoring systems
    • Ability to work with office personnel and sales team.
    • Ensure strong customer service.
    • Follow up with customers as needed.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES)

    • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED; College degree preferred.
    • Current valid driver's license. Must be able to pass an MVR check, criminal background check and drug test.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.

    As a technician, you would have to work in many diverse types of environments – a typical day can take you both inside and outside people’s homes, inside storage facilities, restaurants and everywhere in between. You will be required to inspect, crawl and work in sub-areas, basements, and attics of structures. Ability to communicate effectively with customers about what their pest problem is and how you will solve it. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations and interactions with customers, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Use and maintain safety equipment. Work with and around pest control products approved for use by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to control pests and follow labels appropriately. Operate company vehicles, power sprayers, foggers, dusters, drills, vacuums, and a variety of common hand and power tools and other equipment. Perform minor repairs on tools and related equipment as needed.
