Then the Business Services Representative position for our Lancaster Out-of-School Youth program is for you! We are seeking a dynamic, team-oriented and caring individual to join our spirited team.

Successful Elements:

• Establishes an environment that reflects employer goals and attitudes and builds a sense of community in a youth program setting
• Explains scope of services, goals and purpose of center operations to prospective employers to facilitate connection to the Lancaster Business Development component
• Establishes working relationships with center, city employers and community partners
• Implements recruiting processes and initiatives to fulfill employer job openings
• Assists with youth intakes and enrollments
• Counsels, motivates, and encourages youth in advancing employment, training, and retention goals and helps resolve issues that may impede successful job placement
• Screens applicants, provides daily job leads and follow ups including detailing employers’ needs and skill sets required for current openings
• Conducts jobseeker interviews, consults in career pathways and assists in career planning
• Documents youth progress in achievement of employment and training goals
• Prepares statistical monitoring and other reports as required
• Coordinates referrals to PA CareerLink® and other community resources to augment employment and training services as needed
• Maintains organized database of work-based training participants’ activities and keep detailed records of all contacts
• Ensure performance targets, outcomes and goals are met as required by contract
• Maintain the coordination of Paid Work Experience, including Out of School Youth, TANF Youth Development Program, and State and Local Internship Program
• Collect participant’ timesheets, mid and final evaluations, pre and post surveys and other documentation as needed for successful completion of Paid Work Experiences
• Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

• Experience in a team-oriented environment; ability to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude; excellent communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to gather and synthesize information from a wide variety of people and sources
• At least two years of professional experience, including one year of working with youth and young adults
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle required

Preferred Education:

• Degree in Business, Education, Human Services or related area is preferred
