Job Developer supports social services clients in job searching and placement. Establishes and maintains working relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to source job openings and secure employment and vocational training opportunities for clients. Being a Job Developer evaluates individual's background, skills, and interest and matches to potential job openings or training programs. Coaches and prepares candidate for interview and entry into the workforce. Additionally, Job Developer may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Job Developer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. This position works directly with American Job Center Customers for job development assistance and placement services. This individual must possess high energy and motivation to assist customers in meeting their employment goals. He/ She should be a self-starter who can work independently, be well organized, able to multitask and prioritize projects. The Regional Job Developer works with program/partner staff, program participants and employers to develop opportunities for Subsidized Employment, Community Services and On-the-Job Trainings. Services include, but are not limited to, career assessment and guidance, workshops, resume assistance, coordination of supportive services, job search skills assistance, job development and placement, and employer recruitment.
