Float RMA

Job Description

The float RMA will be responsible for keeping patient load in exam rooms for physicians to see. This is a fast-paced role that requires time management and critical thinking.

Hours: Clinic operates between hours of 8:00a.m.-6:00 p.m. as well as Saturday mornings. 9:00 a.m.-6p.m Monday through Friday with at least 1 Saturday (8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.) a month required.

Primary Role:

Load patients for 1-2 doctors per day

Obtain and enter medical history

Collect vitals

Utilize EMR system

Clean exam rooms between patients

Stock exam rooms during lunch and end of the day

Load laundry (patient gowns/doctor’s coats) at lunch and end of the day

Sterilize instruments at the end of the day

Relieve primary nurse at the end of the day

Secondary Role:

Telephone nurse triage

Return phone messages

Administer vaccines/injections

Patient referrals/paperwork

Office procedures: updraft machine, deep nasal suction, ect.

Lab procedures: throat/nasal swabs, lab draws, operating lab machines, shut down lab

There is always a possibility to float into other roles around the clinic as needed. Ie. Primary nurse, lab, phone nurse, ect.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
