Summary:

Kitchen Assistant (Line Server, Fry Cook, Prep, Utility) is trained to perform all of the duties associated with food preparation, maintaining a clean kitchen with additional responsibility of ensuring compliance with King's Kitchen standards in all areas of operation as assigned or required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Food preparation and execution as directed by Chef.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen including but not limited to tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, saute burners, convection oven, flat top range, refrigeration equipment, and floors.
• Wash all pots, pans, utensils, food preparation equipment, dishes, etc.
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
• Maintain close communication with management.
• Stock supplies such as food or utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators or salad bar.
• Assist in unloading and putting away truck deliveries.
• Sort and remove trash by placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Follow all policies laid out by King's Kitchen standards.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 years in a full-service restaurant as a Kitchen Assistant

Language Ability:

This position requires excellent written, verbal and communication skills.

Math Ability:

This position requires basic math skills.

Reasoning Ability:

This position requires strong problem solving and decision making skills, and the ability to be flexible and adapt in any situation.

Physical Demands:

This position will require long periods of standing on hard surfaces, occasionally in warm temperatures as well as bending and stooping. There is also likely to be extensive lifting of supplies and materials (up to 50 lbs.) as well as moderate to loud noises. The use of hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects is required. There will be constant exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the work day.
