Responsibilities of a Kitchen Supervisor:

• Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen in a nursing home setting.
• Supervise kitchen staff, providing leadership, training, and support to ensure a high standard of service.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan and execute nutritious and appetizing meals for our residents.
• Monitor food preparation, presentation, and quality to meet regulatory and dietary requirements.
• Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control costs within budgetary constraints.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen team.

Qualifications of a Kitchen Supervisor:

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare or nursing home kitchen.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines for elderly residents.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff, dietary teams, and other departments.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper kitchen hygiene.
