We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages in a timely manner, ensuring that all packages are handled with care, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. This position requires the ability to lift heavy packages and navigate through busy streets, so a strong work ethic and attention to detail is essential.
This position could be either a part time afternoon delivery driver or a full time delivery driver with other opportunities within the company when not on deliveries. Part time hours would generally be between 11AM to 5 PM or 12PM to 6 PM, averaging 25 to 30 hours a week. Full time hours would be 9AM to 5/6PM, for 40 hours a week.
As a Delivery Driver for PSS, you will deliver products to customers on a predetermined route and schedule as well as daily mail delivery in a company provided vehicle.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Possess geographical knowledge of service area.
- Current, valid driver’s license in the state at the level required for the vehicle’s operation.
- Drive a vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
- Follow delivery instructions and routes.
- Communicate with customers in a polite and professional manner.
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
- Inspect the vehicle for any mechanical issues before and after each trip.
