    About the Role

    Conduent is seeking an IT LAN Administrator. There is a strong preference for this position to be based in Newark, NJ with a hybrid work schedule with 2-3 days per week onsite.

    The person in this role will support a site of approximately 400 users in a Windows-based environment for a payment processing and call center facility. The IT LAN Administrator is responsible for being a first line of support for all end users, both internal and external, to solve problems from a wide array of devices and operating systems while meeting project deadlines.

    The ideal candidate for the IT LAN Administrator will possess excellent problem-solving skills, technical acumen, and in-depth knowledge of modern communication skills such as chat/email/sms text.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supporting a site of approximately 400 users in a Windows domain environment.
    • Responding in a timely matter to technical issues throughout the workday, and while on call.
    • Responding to and supporting Windows desktop and application issues with Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
    • Responding to and supporting desktop and server hardware issues.
    • Handling Active Directory Management for user management, as well as policy and permission distribution.
    • Deploying physical desktops, running ethernet cable, and routinely baseline user desktops and laptops.
    • Supporting vendor devices such as document scanning machines and other payment processing devices.
    • Supporting remote workers using VDI, VPN, and RDP.
    • Supporting a VOIP-based call center environment for basic troubleshooting.
    • Opening trouble tickets for networking, building/facilities, and application development support.
    • Conducting routine system and security audits.
    Requirements:
    • Associate’s degree or higher in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
    • Demonstrated understanding of core desktop troubleshooting techniques.
    • Solid understanding of basic LAN deployments.
    • Possess an understanding of desktop PC hardware components and functions.
    • Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills.
    • Ability to work with non-technical end users to troubleshoot issues.
    • Ability to work nights, weekends, and on-call hours.
    • Requires a reliable work history with a record of excellent attendance and availability.
