Analyzes LAN/WAN and recommends upgrades/changes and security procedures and policies; assesses organization's current and future LAN/WAN needs. Being a LAN/WAN Integrator requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The LAN/WAN Integrator typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.   • Duties

    • Leads multi-functional Program Support Team including, but not limited to, Engineers, Quality Assurance Specialists, Industrial Specialists, Software Specialists and Contracting personnel.
    • Represents the Contact Management Office (CMO) as the single point of contact to the Buying Command for complex complete major weapons systems, defined as Major Defense Acquisition Programs.
    • Collects, analyzes, synthesizes, and synopsizes functional specialist inputs; provides an integrated DCMA assessment of the contractor's program performance as well as a forecast for future programmatic efforts.
    • Requires frequent contact with the Buying Command Program Manager and technical staff in order to resolve unprecedented and/or controversial issues; is engaged at all critical phases of the program life-cycle.
    • Serves as principal civilian technical advisor to the CMO Commander on matters relating to management of the program.
    • Provides expert technical and programmatic advice and direction to Supporting Program Integrators at other CMOs.

    Qualifications

    To qualify for a Program Manager (Integrator), your resume and supporting documentation must support:

    A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
    • Organizing and leading professionals in surveilling contractors performing major defense acquisition for weapon systems.
    • Applying engineering development, production, and quality management.
    • Analyzing program performance, operations, and risks to recommend improvement.
    • Creating performance measures to analyze cost, schedule, and technical performance.

    Education

    Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Those that have a cut-off score 97 and above and demonstrate in their resume they possess the competencies to perform effectively.
    • Well-Qualified: The next lower category (Well-Qualified) will be used for those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications of the position and are proficient in some, but not all, of the requirements of the position. Candidates may require some training but not in all areas. Those that have a cut-off score 80 to 96, and have demonstrated in their resume they possess the competencies to perform proficiently.
    • Qualified: This category will be used for the candidates that only meet the basic requirements and eligibilities. Candidates may require extensive training and/or orientation in order to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position. Those that have a cut-off score 70 to 79 and possess the competencies.
