Over our 30-year history, we have supported thousands of low-income Nashua families through residential and community-based programs.

    The role:

    As we enter a period of growth, Marguerite’s Place is seeking a Foundation and Corporate Relations Manager who will expand our existing grants program, implement a corporate relations strategy, and become a valuable team member of the Development Department.

    Key Responsibilities

    Grant Writing (60%):

    • Act as the organization’s lead grant writer and proposal manager, guiding the grant process including:
    • Create and utilize existing systems, templates, and strategies for grants management organization-wide including proposal creation/submission; proposal and reporting deadlines list; review processes; communication with funders, and government portals.
    • Buildout existing grant pipeline; research and identify new funding opportunities offered by foundations, public agencies, and government entities.
    • Meet annual revenue goals and track performance against established benchmarks.
    • Ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional teams for consistent submissions, to understand evolving program needs, and to ensure progress against proposal outcomes.
    • Establish contacts with new and existing funders, stewarding growth in relationships.

    Manage Corporate Relations Strategy (20%)

    • Build out a formal corporate giving program that actively pursues, tracks, and manages prospects, and offers high-quality customer service to business and business leaders that become donors/sponsors.
    • Create opportunities for corporate partnership, giving levels, naming opportunities, and associated benefits.
    • Liaise with Capital Campaign Consultants and Director of Development to engage Corporations in facilities expansion project.

    Support overall Development Team work and strategy (20%)

    • Contribute to special events and projects as part of the Development Team
    • Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to overall fundraising strategy
    • Input and monitor data and outcomes in CRM.
    • Support communications and writing efforts, including drafting language for newsletters, acknowledgments, and annual report writing.
    • Liaise with Board of Directors relative to development strategy, corporate relations, and grant writing.
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree required
    • 3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • History of successful foundation grant writing required; history of successful government grant writing preferred.
    • Collaborative, detail-oriented, creative, and self-motivated. You take initiative, and work with colleagues to ensure team goals are achieved.
    • Tech savvy, fluent in Microsoft Office, and adaptable to different databases.
    • Relationship Building – skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships across different levels of the organization and externally.
    • Customer Service – Maintain excellent rapport and trusting relationships with prospective and existing donors.
    • Passion for the mission of Marguerite’s Place, with an understanding of trauma and the impacts of homelessness.

    Compensation

    This role is salaried and offered at $60,000 - 65,000 per year.

    This position is HYBRID. Work can be completed remotely, however in-person meetings with colleagues, donors, and community members are required and critical to success in this role. You can anticipate the majority of the week to be spent remotely, with fluctuating in-office time dependent on scheduling and the development calendar.
