Under the supervision of the Executive Director Analytics & Optimization, the incumbent is responsible for staff training and directs the overall activities of labor optimization. Manages and performs labor analyses with the use of key volume indicators to ensure proper staffing to maximize guest service levels and profitability. Develops productivity standards for all labor positions, developing trend-based productivity reporting, conducting time and motion studies, identifying the largest areas of opportunity, and action plans for improvement. Must be self-sufficient throughout the full analytical lifecycle of sourcing data, data cleansing, prepping data for analysis, conduction analysis, creating dashboards, and leading change. A successful candidate will be a true change agent, self-starter, be able to embed themselves into the operation and learn the business, and be able to build meaningful relationships with the operators they are supporting. Must have the ability to balance multiple concurrent projects with varying degrees of priority. Must have knowledge and familiarity of workforce management benchmarks, time and motion studies, and demand-based labor scheduling. Preferred knowledge of UKG software, UKG underlying data, and UKG Virtual Roster. Bachelor degree required in business, economics, finance, hospitality, data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or applied sciences. Hospitality, Leisure, Gaming, or Consumer related experience required. Previous experience in a resort casino within a labor, FP&A, or analytics role a plus. The incumbent must possess at least two (2) years of labor or workforce experience. Minimum of one (1) year of management experience in a similar role. Three (3) years of experience with analytical tools, including SAS, R, Python, SQL. Experience with data visualization software similar to Tableau, PowerBI, or SAS Visual Analytics. Must display good interpersonal skills and have a positive cooperative attitude with both internal and external customers. Must be able to work collaboratively with other areas of Operations and within the Financial Planning & Analysis team. Position is on-site, hybrid work could be considered for the right candidate.
