About the Job:
We're excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Community Relations Manager! Under the supervision of the Vice President, Community Relations, the Community Relations Manager manages various community relations activities and programs to include community events, financial literacy programs, chamber and partnership sponsorships, in support of the Bank’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial community relationships.
The hiring range for this position is $58,000 to $65,000.
This position is Full Time, 40 hours weekly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other Duties May be Assigned):
Knowledge and Skills
This employee must have outstanding interpersonal skills, and be able to work equally successfully as an individual contributor and a team collaborator. This employee should have strong written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to manage sensitive subjects with tact, kindness and professionalism. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, along with ability to make effective presentations in group settings. This employee will interact with the community on a consistent basis and must evidence and portray the Core Values of Country Bank. Knowledge of basic marketing, financial literacy principles, and principles of the Community Reinvestment Act are preferred.
This position requires intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. InDesign or Photoshop skills are preferred.
Education and Work Experience
An Associate’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required, while a Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of related work experience is also required, such as marketing, community relations, or public relations. Candidates with an existing professional network within the Country Bank footprint, experience serving on community committees, and prior financial services experience are strongly preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
This position is primarily in an office environment, which means the physical surroundings are generally pleasant and comfortable with minimal exposure to injury or other hazards, with a moderate level of noise. Prolonged periods of sitting and looking at a computer screen with freedom of movement on a regular basis is expected. Minimal physical effort is required but could include: repetitive motion of wrists and fingers; talking and hearing; and handling of light materials and supplies.
This position does require some travel between offices and community partner business sites, as well as setting up events, which could require pushing, pulling, standing and reaching overhead, talking, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
