Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc., an industry-leading independent testing laboratory for rubber, plastic and latex, is looking to fill the position of Laboratory Technician working in our Engineering Department. The right candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, communication and listening skills and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be self-motivated, energetic team player who will help cultivate a positive work environment. Technicians are expected to prepare samples for rubber testing, become familiar with and perform standard rubber tests within our engineering department’s scope of accreditation, and set-up or assist engineers with nonstandard or custom testing as needed.
