Being a Laboratory Courier is responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities
Under our Lab Manager supervision, the Clinical Laboratory Scientist that will independently perform a wide variety of technical procedures including performing clinical laboratory tests, preparing reagents, performing quality control and calibration for test systems, maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment, processing specimens, performing data entry, etc. Assist with oversight of the proficiency testing program for the laboratory section including PT survey handling, analysis, reporting, reviewing and monitoring.
Review quality control records and perform investigation and corrective action for omissions or incorrect QC data.
Qualifications & Requirements
· Interact with lab personnel, appropriate assigning test procedures for specimens, process specimens for immediate testing or storage for future testing and coordinate timing of the assays with other lab personnel
· Who You Are:
· – Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science, molecular microbiology, or related discipline
· – California License (CLS or CGMBS)
