Being a Laboratory Courier is responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. - Safely and efficiently transport packages and documents to specified locations
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Load and unload packages from vehicles using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
- Ensure packages are properly secured to prevent damage during transit
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
- Communicate effectively with customers to address any questions or concerns
```Experience```
- Previous experience as a courier or delivery driver preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures
- Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including vans, box trucks, and tractor-trailers
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks and forklifts for loading/unloading purposes
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members
