Laboratory Courier picks up and delivers medical specimens and packages for a laboratory. Ensures timely, safe, and accurate delivery. Being a Laboratory Courier is responsible for maintenance and care of vehicle. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Laboratory Courier must be licensed to operate a vehicle. Licensing requirements depend on the state. Must have a "satisfactory" driving record. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Laboratory Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Provide customer service while delivering over established routes. Inspect and maintain vehicle and equipment to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
Communicate with central dispatch using mobile communications.
Obey traffic laws and follow organization’s transportation procedures.
Ensure packages are delivered and entered accurately.
Provide excellent customer service and responds to customer’s requests.
Candidate must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, and some weekends based on operational needs.
Must have a consistently positive attitude and be able to work well with customers and other employees.
Must be capable of carrying and stocking a variety of products including boxes that are approximately 50 lbs. and be capable of lifting at least 75 lbs.
Must be creative and self-motivated to solve problems as they arise.
Must have excellent communication skills and a true desire to provide our customers the highest level of service.
Must have a professional appearance and conduct yourself in a professional manner.
Must be flexible, adaptable and willing to handle a variety of responsibilities.
Must be reliable and dependable.
