Key Responsibilities:
1. Transport heavy equipment parts to designated locations, including construction sites, warehouses, and client facilities.
2. Safely load and unload parts onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo to prevent damage.
3. Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and ensure timely delivery of parts to customers.
4. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
5. Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure safe and reliable operation.
6. Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or special instructions.
7. Complete delivery paperwork accurately and promptly, including invoices, delivery receipts, and other documentation.
8. Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and colleagues.
9. Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including organizing and inventorying parts.
10.Uphold company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
Requirements:
1. Valid Class E driver's license and DOT Medical certificate with a clean driving record.
2. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
3. Knowledge of heavy equipment parts and their handling requirements is a plus.
4. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time and resources.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate delivery vehicles safely.
