It is quite common for us to hear candidates claim that their current employment has stagnated and there is no room for advancement. At Cal Lab, we want to grow our technicians into more technically advanced Metrologists. Technicians have the ability and are encouraged to advance up the technician ranks. We currently have 4 levels of technician advancement which include Associate Calibration Technician, Calibration Technician I, Calibration Technician II, Calibration Technician III.
An ideal candidate has the passion and ability to learn something new everyday and apply this knowledge to calibrate instruments in our house lab or on-site at clients' facilities. This is not a job where every day is the same, there is always something new to learn/do/try.
Entry Level
Anyone with a passion for math or physics are strongly encouraged to apply as we are looking for trainable individuals who are looking for a career.
We have an in-depth, self-paced training program to establish the technician's role into a productive career in Metrology, Instrumentation, and Quality. This training consists of hands-on On-The-Job training with a qualified technician to learn calibrations.
We have several technicians on staff who were hired with little or no previous calibration experience who have become successful in the Metrology field after completing their training. Each candidate's training progression is monitored by supervisors and Lab Managers for goals, accomplishments and timely progress.
Entry-Level applicants are screened, tested and if hired, placed in the appropriate department based on previous direct or transferable skills.
