Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator coordinates, develops, and maintains the scope and performance of laboratory information systems projects. Maintains project documentation by formulating and implementing policies and procedures. Being a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator maintains and updates the system. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Projected duration: 6 months potential for perm

    Pay negotiable with experience.

    MLT 2-year associate degree is fine. The tech will only be performing Roche HA1c and RPRAIX1000 instrumentation, will be looking heavier more on years of experience rather than education. At least 1 to 2 years of experience. MT/MLS graduate that would be a bonus


    Job Description:
      - Set up, adjust, maintain, and clean medical laboratory equipment.
      - Analyze the results of tests and experiments to ensure conformity to specifications, using special mechanical and electrical devices.
      - Analyze, gather, and record test data to issue reports that use charts, graphs, and narratives.
      - Obtain specimens, cultivating, isolating, and identifying microorganisms for analysis.
      - May examine cells stained with dye to locate abnormalities.
      - Consult with a pathologist to determine a final diagnosis when abnormal cells are found.
      
    Needed Skills:
      - Verbal and written communication skills.
      - Attention to detail.
      - Problem-solving skills.
      - Basic ability to work independently and manage.
      - Basic knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases.
      - Basic ability to analyze data and accurately document and record results.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    - Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training preferred.
    - Minimum 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.
    - Associate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
