Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator coordinates, develops, and maintains the scope and performance of laboratory information systems projects. Maintains project documentation by formulating and implementing policies and procedures. Being a Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator maintains and updates the system. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Laboratory Information Systems Coordinator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Laboratory Client Services Coordinator

    Represents the laboratory to the public and is responsible for effective and collaborative communication with clients and other healthcare professionals. Maintains strong working relationships with clients and affiliates in order to provide timely project outcomes. Maintains strong knowledge of laboratory orderable testing, EMR and LIS systems to support positive project results with good stewardship of healthcare system resources to ensure future financial strength within the organization. Supports the laboratory in quality improvement projects as needed.

    Required qualifications:

    • H.S. Diploma or GED

    • 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting

    • 3 years of Specimen Processing

    Preferred qualifications:

    • 1 year of Lead experience
