Job Summary: The Laboratory Manager performs and supervises a variety of diagnostic laboratory tests that are intended to assist with improving the overall status of patients providing accurate laboratory results. The Laboratory Manager is actively involved in all departmental activities, Trans-disciplinary activities; ensure individualized, patients centered health care for all patient populations. This is an Exempt position.

Essential Job Functions
The Laboratory Manager is responsible for all departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals. The Manager is responsible for daily operations, personnel management, and regulatory compliance of laboratory services for the facility. The Manager considers business trends, resource availability and changes in customers in the operation of the laboratory. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers, and vendors. The Manager identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement. The Department Manager communicates the needs of the department to leadership and collaborates with medical staff regarding laboratory issues and therapy recommendations. Director supports management team in meeting facility goals.
