Laboratory Manager manages the daily activities of the laboratory. Develops laboratory policies and procedures and issues updates as needed. Being a Laboratory Manager plans and designs experiments. Estimates the time and resources needed to complete projects. Additionally, Laboratory Manager orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Responsibilities:
    - Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
    - Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and provide information to callers
    - Schedule appointments and manage calendars
    - Maintain office filing systems and organize documents
    - Assist with event planning and coordination
    - Provide excellent customer service to patients or clients
    - Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages
    - Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and faxing

    Experience:
    - Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
    - Knowledge of medical terminology for medical receptionist positions
    - Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations professionally
    - Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
    - Excellent calendar management skills to schedule appointments effectively
    - Familiarity with dental office procedures for dental receptionist positions
    - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
    - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
