Additionally, Laboratory Manager orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Summary: Position Summary: Adams State University invites applications for a part-time Simulation Laboratory Assistant position in nursing. This position is a renewable 9-month contract coinciding with the academic calendar. Specific Job Duties (Essential Functions and Responsibilities): 1. Assist the Simulation Laboratory Coordinator in preparing for simulations. 2. Attend all scheduled simulation activities. 3. Promote and monitor for a safe laboratory environment. 4. Assist with setup and cleanup of simulation activities. 5. Create needed moulage for simulations (blood, urine, etc.). 6. Assist in creating, maintaining, and evaluating simulation policies and procedures. 7. Assist in evaluating students in their simulation experiences. 8. Assist with the management of laboratory inventory. 9. Assist with Public Relations activities – lab tours, community simulation projects, recruiting/organizing volunteers, etc. 10. Assist in training faculty with equipment and technology as well as simulation methodology. Qualifications: Ability to treat others with respect, civility, and courtesy and to work honestly, effectively, and collegiality with employees, students, and the community.
