Laboratory Manager jobs in Rapid City, SD
Laboratory Manager manages the daily activities of the laboratory. Develops laboratory policies and procedures and issues updates as needed. Being a Laboratory Manager plans and designs experiments. Estimates the time and resources needed to complete projects. Additionally, Laboratory Manager orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Laboratory Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Clinical Laboratory has an opening for a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) or equivalent to join our histology team.
Duties include: embedding, microtomy, chemical and reagent management, special stains and IHC procedures.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT NEEDED:
60 Semester hours of academic credit from a regionally accredited college university with A COMBINATION of 12 total Semester Hours in Biology AND Chemistry.
