Norske Veritas (DNV) regulatory standards, and local, state, & federal laws (CLIA); is ultimately responsible for all facets of laboratory performance,
quality, safety, service, budget, policy and
EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required: B.S., M.T. (ASCP) or equivalent. Incumbent will be required to successfully complete a laboratory orientation program. Experience in personnel management, budgeting, report preparation and lab services planning/operations. 5 years of hospital laboratory experience; minimum of 5 years progressive responsibility and experience in hospital laboratory management. Proficient in laboratory information systems and PC applications.
Preferred: Above with a Master’s Degree, or a Specialty Registry. Management and supervisory education/training/experience.
ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must be able to communicate vision and leadership through interpersonal skills with staff members. Incumbent must have a high degree of competence in: organizational and strategic agility, customer focus, developing direct reports and other, managerial courage and building effective teams (not necessarily in priority order).
