Additionally, Laboratory Services Director orders and inspects materials and equipment and maintains detailed and accurate inventory of lab supplies. Requires a master's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Laboratory Services Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Laboratory Services Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Summary:
The individual must possess basic computer, mathematics, and science skills. The individual must demonstrate the ability to multitask, grasp new procedures quickly, and have the capability of working independently upon completion of training.
Reading and understanding all applicable test methods and safety standards that include but are not limited to AASHTO, ASTM, UOP, and IP.
