Solaris Diagnostics is a fast growing diagnostic laboratory located in the heart of Central Kentucky. We are currently seeking a full time Laboratory Courier to join our team. The job functions and requirements are listed below:

This laboratory courier position requires a detailed oriented driver that can operate a courier route by picking up samples from facilities and/or other phlebotomists in a safe & timely manner. When not performing courier services, assisting the lab with accessioning samples will be required.

Hours: 4pm-1am Monday through Friday, 5pm-11pm Sunday Rotations (Once a month) Sunday availability is required for weekend courier route rotations

The essential functions of this job are as follows:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Keep records of all pick-ups and drop-offs.
• Ensure car maintenance is up to date.
• Comply with safe driving precautions.
• Maintain care ensuring cleanliness.
• Ability to quickly respond to pick up and delivery of samples.
• Must have open availability.
• Must be able to utilize navigation systems (Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc.) & other mobile applications to locate pick up and drop off locations.
• Must adhere to strict attendance guidelines.
• Must comply with all HIPPA guidelines.
• Must comply with all company health and safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Data entry throughout the day
• Periodically will be responsible for handling clinical specimens

• Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste.
• Must be able to stand or sit for up to 7 hours per day.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

• Good oral and written communication.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to clear a criminal background check
• Clean driving record with no more than one violation within a three year time span
