Location: Woburn, MA
Salary: $100 – 120K per Year
Type of position: Full time job
Hours: M-F First Shift Standard Hours (Occasional Weekends)
Industry: Blood / Cord Blood Collections
We are looking for someone who has a passion for the future! This position will involve processing cord blood and placental tissues for a global player in the tissue storage industry.
Responsibilities:- Processing and Storing Cord Blood and Tissues
- Working with Senior Staff on Processes / Procedures / Quality
- Hiring and training staff
Skills:- 7 years‘experience in clinical blood bank laboratory in all areas (processing, testing, storage, release, etc.) and cellular therapy (stem cell) laboratory
- 3 years‘ experience in people management (lab staff)
- Experience overseeing all technical aspects of tissue bank operations under the supervision of a medical director
- Ability to ensure quality control management and to set up corresponding processes
- Experience in ensuring the validation of laboratories, processes, procedures, and equipment
- Ability for teamwork, multitasking, regular reporting and performance of assigned tasks on time and in the required quality
- Experience with laboratory inspections, audits, proficiency testing, etc.
- Experience in communicating with regulatory and licensing offices and official certification authorities is welcome
- Current certification as Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist, or similar; ASCP certification strongly preferred (not required, equivalent experience would be considered)
