Job Summary:
Under the immediate supervision of the Laboratory Manager, and in conjunction with the Laboratory Director, supervises and coordinates laboratory activities. This includes but is not limited to Quality Assurance, Quality Control, regulatory compliance, point-of-care testing, support laboratory staff with duties, and support laboratory manager responsibilities when laboratory manager is unavailable.

Qualifications:
Must meet CLIA criteria for high complexity laboratory technical supervisor requirements. Possess before employment and maintain good standing in a national registry of ASCP (MT) or nationally recognized equivalent. Maintain valid CPR certification. Meet the requirements of at least one of the following:
1: A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university in biological science, chemistry, physical, or medical laboratory sciences AND at least 5 year of laboratory experience and training in a high complexity laboratory that includes all areas to be supervised; OR
2: A master’s degree from a regionally accredited college/university in biological science, chemistry, physical, or medical laboratory sciences AND at least 2 year of laboratory experience and training in a high complexity laboratory that includes all areas to be supervised; OR
3: A doctorate degree from a regionally accredited college/university in biological science, chemistry, physical, or medical laboratory sciences AND at least 1 year of laboratory experience and training in a high complexity laboratory that includes all areas to be supervised
