LEE Chamberlin Consultant Engineers is looking for a CAD Technician to join our growing team! As a CAD Technician, you will be working under our Operations Manager and Senior Civil Engineering Technician to prepare documents, observe and inspect work performed by contractors, and complete projects for the clients and communities that we serve. Your focus will be to assist in the preparation of drawings, documents, details, schedules or specifications using programs such as Microstation and Power Civil. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be involved in civil engineering projects from a variety of different fields including transportation, city engineering, commercial sites, industrial sites, housing developments, and more!

Our company is a full-service civil engineering and land surveying firm that provides comprehensive planning, design, and construction services to clients in both the public and private sectors. We implement a centralized project approach where we work with our clients through every step of the process from land and title surveys to construction administration, and we have over 25 years of experience completing an assortment of projects from small-scale road grading and paving improvements to large scale housing developments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare drawings, documents, detail, schedules or specifications using programs such as MicroStation and Power Civil.
• Prepare construction documents and records.
• Operate plan and document reproduction equipment.
• Observe and inspect work performed by contractors ensuring compliance of specs, drawings, code and safety.
• Inspect construction sites for quality to report any variances.
• Interface with contractors, clients and other LEE Chamberlin team members in a positive and professional manner.
• Assist survey technicians in survey field work including operation of Trimble GPS equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in an accredited Computer Aided Drafting or Civil Engineering Technology program
• Ability to travel to various job sites and locations
• 5 years of experience
• Demonstrated ability in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D with 5 years of experience
• Able to multi-task and establish priorities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated track record of successful past employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
