Lactation Consultant jobs in Riverside, CA
Lactation Consultant provides lactation support and education to patients and families. May plan and lead breastfeeding classes for expecting mothers. Being a Lactation Consultant is responsible for identifying and correcting lactation problems, and advising physicians and healthcare providers on lactation problems experienced by patients. Requires an associate degree in nursing or equivalent. Additionally, Lactation Consultant requires Registered Nurse (RN) License. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Qualifications
Current licensure as a Certified Lactation Consultant in the State of California. Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS. Have minimum 2 years’ experience in related field. Ability to organize and carry out assignments independently. Effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to speak Spanish a plus. Ability to deal with standardized situations with no variables. General office skills and computer knowledge.
