Lactation Consultant jobs in Toledo, OH

GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for all lactation related services, programs and education and services as a resource for lactation counseling and support to the community.  Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

1. Must possess IBCLC Certificate.

2. Work requires excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, to communicate effectively with mothers and a variety of professional personnel.

3. Must have knowledge, skills in infant development, nutrition, obstetrics specially related to lactation.

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Works in a normal patient care environment.

2. May require travel to patient homes, clinics, etc. 

*Will be located at the WIC office at the Toledo Lucas County Health Department.
