Land Administration Manager manages the proper receiving, recording, documentation, and dissemination of all land agreements and land contracts. Serves as a liaison to the land department and customers to ensure proper interpretation of land agreements and contracts. Being a Land Administration Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Land Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     District Managers Support and Training
    Organize and facilitate the New District Manager Orientation and ongoing training programs.
    Insure that Orientation and Safety meetings are often hosted by the District Manager.
    After observing and working with the District Managers, provide additional training in any weak areas.

    Start up and Closing Procedures:
    Insure written instructions for start-up and closure are developed and accurate by reviewing and approving the District Managers plans in the District Manager Handbook binder that stays in each of their specific permit districts.
    Assist all District Managers in complying with standardized reporting formats that are sent to the Corporate Office.

    Facilities Management:
    Provide training on Granger-Thye project procedures and assist in organizing and supervising projects and completing the paperwork in a timely manner.
    Provide assistance in scheduling staff to complete campground upkeep in an efficient and effective manner.
    Train District Managers on factors to consider when deciding when to call for journeyman skill level support verses doing the project or tasks with ones own staff.

    Water Systems
    Attend or assure that one of our staff attends sanitary surveys conducted by water management agencies.
    Make sure the District Manager has seen and is actively correcting deficiencies noted on the most recent county or state sanitary survey.
    Verify water testing is being done consistently and accurately. Assure that the District Manager is taking and documenting the appropriate repeat samples according to the rules established.

    Staff Management
    Spend time during the season in each district. The amount of time you spend in a given district will vary depending on the district, our management team in the district, etc.
    Work with the District Manager and the campground hosts to help them effectively resolve complaints.
    Provide year end evaluations of each District Manager.

    Permit Administrators Support:
    Be a liaison with the Forest Service between each district and the corporate office staff by meeting with the permit administrators and being aware of their expectations for the campgrounds.
    Encourage our Forest Service, State Park or PG&E partners to meet consistently with our area managers, regional managers and vice president when in the area.
    Help resolve permit issues.

    Budget Management
    Review all of the District Managers Weekly Activity Reports and contact the District Managers to review corrective action for those areas that are operating outside of acceptable parameters.
    Inspect the District Managers budget tracking system and assure that the District Manager is on target or has a plan to get that way.

    Asset Management
    Inspect the company equipment (tools, vehicles, golf carts, etc.) and make sure they are properly maintained, labeled and reported as company owned equipment.
    Provide a complete inventory of company assets and the condition of those assets.

    Company Growth
    Help with collecting information on new bids and evaluations of potential areas of growth for the company.
    Assist in writing and editing the company wide training programs.

    Reporting
    Insure end of season paperwork is completed and accurate.
    Review and assist with year-end Operating Plan changes for each permit.
    Evaluate the district after the visit. The evaluation will describe our relationship with the Forest Service and the district managers relationship with the staff and any feedback from the Forest Service, PG&E, or campground managers will also be forwarded to the corporate office.
