    1. JOB SUMMARY:
    Operations Administration Manager to assist the Director of Facilities and Operations in overseeing all administrative in Environmental Services as well as supervision of housekeeping and laundry activities. Will assist Director in administrative responsibilities as directed as well as preserving the cleanliness of all areas of infrastructure and laundry, and ensure that facilities are safe and clean. Identify and address opportunities for improvement, maintain knowledge of, and recommend as directed, equipment and expenditures. Provides supervision for custodial services to ensure departmental goals are met. Foster and maintain, in conjunction with the Director of Facilities and Operations, a safe environment for employees, visitors and residents.
     
    1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
      • Perform administrative duties, as assigned or directed by the Director of Facilities and Operations.
      • Assists in planning, organizing, directing assigned Environmental Services staff to ensure that the physical premises and laundry are safe and clean.
      • Supervise all staff all assigned EVS staff and external contractors as directed by the Director of Facilities and Operations.
      • Helps establish effective and efficient organization through the appropriate use of Human Resources, Equipment and Technological methods.
      • Assists with advancing new ideas, plans or methods as a part of the Environmental Services team to promote efficiency and effectiveness within department operation.
      • Always ensures equipment and supplies are maintained properly; schedules repairs and orders supplies as necessary; demonstrates cost consciousness in using and ordering supplies.
      • Helps maintain and follows policy and procedure manuals at all times.
      • Demonstrates a complete knowledge of infection control, safety, emergency codes, disaster plans and procedures, and the correct use of all forms required in the operation of the Facility.
      • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as Weinberg Campus policies and procedures.
      • Maintains active knowledge of role in emergency operations and participation in Western New York Mutual Aide.
      • Develop and maintain collaborative relationship with SEIU 1199.
      • Acts as a Backup to the Director of Facilities and Operations.
      • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities and Operations.

    1. WORKING CONDITIONS:
      • Work area will vary from an office setting to all areas inside and outside of the Campus.
      • May be exposed to temperature variances.
      • Subject to an environment where failure to follow safety guidelines and safe work practices may result in serious injury.
      • Exposure to outdoor spaces.
     
    1. PERSONAL OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

      • Frequent body movements include lifting, moving, transferring, bending, stooping, squatting and reaching.

    1. EDUCATION:
      • Associate’s degree in related field (preferred);
      • OR equivalent combination of experience and education.
     
    1. EXPERIENCE:
    • At least one (1) year in a responsible supervisory role (required).
    • Three (3) years of relevant experience in Environmental Services or Related Field.
