Land Administration Manager manages the proper receiving, recording, documentation, and dissemination of all land agreements and land contracts. Serves as a liaison to the land department and customers to ensure proper interpretation of land agreements and contracts. Being a Land Administration Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Land Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Land Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Ulland Brothers has operated in the construction industry for over 100 years. The Company has an immediate opening for the position of Aggregate/Land Resource Manager in the Carlton Office, managing resources in the Arrowhead Region.   

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Project and Asset Management

    • Manage our land and aggregate resources in Northern Minnesota.
    • Assess long and short-term aggregate needs.
    • Manage all aspects of Federal, State, and local permitting, zoning, and mining regulations. 
    • Establish an effective marketing plan and pricing. Identify new business opportunities in the private and public sector.
    • Assist project managers and estimators in sourcing aggregates for projects.
    • Maintain a relationship of trust with aggregate source owners, customers, and subcontractors. 
    • Review and maintain aggregate contracts and leases.
    • Track and monitor internal and external sales.
    • Work with production manager and accounting staff to keep accurate aggregate inventories.
    • Ensure our aggregate operations are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner.

     

    Qualifications

    • Related experience in the construction field, preferably in Geological Sciences or Civil Engineering.
    • Knowledge of construction materials used in Highway-Heavy construction.
    • Knowledge of construction materials processing methods.
    • Understanding and ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
    • Computer competency.
    • Positive communicator and leader.
    • Possess excellent organizational/coordination skills.
    • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
