Land Administration Manager manages the proper receiving, recording, documentation, and dissemination of all land agreements and land contracts. Serves as a liaison to the land department and customers to ensure proper interpretation of land agreements and contracts. Being a Land Administration Manager requires a bachelor's degree.     This position is for a Survey Crew Chief who will work on projects throughout the state of Indiana. Depending on where the candidate lives, they will be based out of one of the following offices: Fort Wayne, Goshen, South Bend, or Lafayette.

    Responsibilities & Duties:

    • In charge of the daily activities of field Survey crew
    • In charge of daily crew operations such as construction staking, subdivision staking, boundary and topographic surveys
    • Prepares daily field notes on projects
    • Performs minor calculations in the field for staking
    • Performs daily data uploads and downloads
    • Maintains survey equipment and vehicles
    • Provide direction to survey technicians
    • Perform quality control
    • May require travel and overnight stay. Daily per diem provided for lodging and meals

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • 5 years of survey construction layout experience
    • Experience with Topcon equipment with magnet field software a plus
    • Ability to perform data collector calculations
    • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
    • Ability to work independently
    • Organizational skills in order to plan, schedule work and complete assignments within established timeframes
    • Capable of working with a multidisciplinary team of planners, engineers, surveyors, architects and technicians
