The Willamette National Forest is in the western half of Oregon. Within the Cascade Mountain Range, this area is east of Eugene, OR and west of Bend, OR and Sisters, OR. The McKenzie River area is located in the central part of the forest where the McKenzie River flows west from the peaks surrounding Mt Washington. Hwy 126 by way of Hwy 20 connects Eugene, OR to Sisters, OR and this area lies in-between.
