Lab Technician

JOB TITLE:

• Lab Technician
• SHIFT: 2nd Shift 2 PM - 10:30 PM
• PAY: $20.60

JOB SUMMARY:  

The Associate Lab Technician will liaise with Operations to ensure a safe, wholesome finished product that meets our customer’s specifications. This is accomplished by conforming to all LOL Quality Management Systems standards.  Performs analyses, inspections, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, and quantitative assays on samples and/or finished products from manufacturing to ensure quality standards and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property. Performs various qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples and aids in the maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatus to ensure compliance. Performed required inspections, checks, analysis, and documentation of studies. Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports. Review production records for conformance to procedures. Evaluate non-conforming results and initiate re-sampling, re-testing, and/or hold procedures.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associate degree or 3-5 years of applicable experience
• Basic computer skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Age: 18 years or older
• Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal and written instructions.
• Complex Problem Solving: Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
• Critical Thinking involves using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by the deadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision.
• Coordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting to important changes.
• Safety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers always without exception.
• Technology: Ability to utilize Windows-based PC programs
• Quality Control Analysis: Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

Physical Requirements for production positions regularly include:

• Frequent movement, including walking, standing, bending/stooping, turning, twisting, pushing, pulling, raising arms, lifting, climbing, and other active movements
• Performing duties while wearing personal protective equipment
• Working across temperature zones that may include cold and/or hot environments for extended periods and may include work in environments where dust is present
• Shift schedules include days, nights, and weekends, some holidays, and periodic overtime.
