Land Surveyor

Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering & Testing is currently seeking a land surveyor (licensed SI) for our Marion, Illinois office.  This individual will assist the Professional Land Surveyor and others in providing land surveying services.

Essential Job Functions:

• Measure, record, and calculate data for surveying projects
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment
• Research survey records
• Preparation of surveying and engineering drawings from sketches, field notes, verbal descriptions, and specifications
• Communicate decisions with supporting documentation to project managers
• Work under the supervision of a Professional Land Surveyor to prepare several types of survey drawings

Desired Skills:

• Ability to accurately complete detailed work
• Knowledge of Autodesk and/or Bentley software preferable but not required
• Strong spoken and written communication skills
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks

Education/Experience:

• BS in Land Surveying or a related science
• Licensed as a Surveyor Intern (SI)
• Compensation will be based on skill level and experience
