Land Support Agent Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the support and administration of all land related activities. Prepares special reports as required by management, reviewing all other specialized reports as well as lease and royalty paperwork, coordinating changes or corrections as required. Being a Land Support Agent Supervisor serves as a liaison to the legal department and land purchasing department to ensure that there are no land title or other land related issues. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Land Support Agent Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Support Agent Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Land Support Agent Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Position Summary:

    The Land Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safe operation of our Port Facilities, Unload Rigs and related activities for Terral RiverService. This role will report directly to the Safety Director. This role involves developing and implementing safety policies, conducting inspections, and providing training and guidance to personnel to minimize risks and maintain compliance with OSHA and other Governmental regulations. The Land Safety Manager collaborates closely with various stakeholders, including managers, operators, laborers, regulatory authorities, and internal teams to achieve and sustain a culture of safety excellence.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Develop and implement safety programs: Create and execute comprehensive safety programs and policies specific to land and unload operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Continuously evaluate and improve safety measures to enhance the overall safety performance.
    • Conduct inspections and audits: Regularly inspect terminals, equipment, and facilities to assess compliance with safety standards. Identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate safety risks. Perform Internal Management and Audits of company processes, as related to maintaining safe operations.
    • Provide safety training and guidance: Develop and deliver training programs to educate and train employees, contractors, and crew members on safety procedures, emergency response protocols, and best practices. Provide ongoing safety guidance and support to personnel to promote a culture of safety awareness.
    • Incident investigation and analysis: Lead investigations into incidents, accidents, near misses, and other safety-related events. Identify root causes, analyze trends, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence. Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents and recommend corrective actions.
    • Regulatory compliance: Stay abreast of relevant local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to safety. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain effective working relationships with regulatory agencies.
    • Risk management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with land operations. Develop and implement risk management strategies, including hazard assessments, risk mitigation plans, and emergency response procedures.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders: Liaise with managers, operators, laborers, regulatory authorities, third party organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and compliance. Coordinate with internal departments, such as operations, maintenance, and human resources, to implement safety initiatives and address safety-related concerns.
    • Safety recordkeeping and documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, including inspections, incidents, training, and audits. Ensure proper documentation of safety policies, procedures, and reports. Ensure document control of required OSHA documentation requirements.

    Skills and Expertise:

    • Bachelor's degree. Experience in OSHA compliance, occupational safety, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training in safety is highly desirable.
    • Proven experience in land operations, safety management, or a related field.
    • Strong knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry standards, such as those set by OSHA.
    • Demonstrated expertise in conducting safety inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
    • Excellent understanding of risk management principles and practices.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with personnel at all levels and build collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess risks, develop strategies, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
    • Proactive approach to safety, with the ability to promote a safety-conscious culture within the organization.
