Land Support Agent Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the support and administration of all land related activities. Prepares special reports as required by management, reviewing all other specialized reports as well as lease and royalty paperwork, coordinating changes or corrections as required. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Land Support Agent Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Responsibilities & Qualifications
We are seeking a driven, responsible individual to oversee the day to day Feeding operations at our South Feedlot in Broken Bow, Nebraska.
The ideal candidate would possess strong leadership abilities and effective communication skills.
This person will be responsible for :
Supporting / driving the overall safety strategy of the company. Exemplifying safety expectations.
Providing overall leadership of the Feeding area and identifying methods of optimizing safety, quality, and productivity.
Activities include, but are not limited to :
Ensuring the daily operations in feed delivery are conducted accurately and consistently;
Evaluating daily feeding reports (Bunk Conditions, DM’s, DMI’s, TPH, etc.), while providing feedback team and leadership.
Calling bunks, as needed.
Working closely with the company nutritionist to drive optimum cattle performance.
Monitoring and maintaining reports and information flow to computers by inputting records in accordance with FDA and QA to ensure quality production.
Assist with harvest including the construction and management of ingredient piles and quality control of feedstuffs.
Driving a culture with a focus on effective equipment maintenance by :
Ensuring completion of maintenance by conducting spot checks.
Overseeing the general cleanliness of work areas assigned to the work group.
Assisting with budget development
Approving invoices for cost center expenditures.
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities to enhance company profitability through reduced expenses and / or increased revenue.
Communication and Leadership :
Leading shift startup meetings.
Representing the feeding team at Monday morning safety meeting.
Communicating and supporting company strategies and changes.
Training and developing new and current team members; while communicating progress and areas of opportunity to management.
Providing ongoing feedback and recognition to team by setting performance objectives and communicating throughout the year on progress.
Driving accountability by working with Org Development and management to facilitate conflict resolution, performance improvement, and corrective actions to the team.
Screening applicants through interview process and hiring applicable candidates.
Working closely with all levels of the organization and promoting effective and positive relationships with other teams.
Skills and qualifications :
Commitment to safety and quality culture.
Previous feeding and / or mill experience is beneficial
Previous leadership experience.
Exceptional ability to use analytical techniques for problem solving, coordination, and decision making.
High attention to detail.
Individual must be team-oriented.
Professional communication (both verbal and written) and customer service skills.
Serve all customers both internally and externally with a positive, professional, respectful and courteous attitude with honesty and integrity.
Strong computer skills.
Qualifications
This position requires :
Individual must be able to work in adverse weather conditions, if needed.
Must have valid driver's license.
Exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally; 25-50 pounds of force frequently; 10-20 pounds of force constantly. Standing and sitting frequently;
walking, carrying, and lifting / lowering, pushing / pulling, bending, twisting, climbing, crawling, stairs, reaching / handling / grasping, and kneeling / crouching occasionally.
