In addition, our headquarters in Alachua County supports the operations of our business including marketing, human resources, legal, finance, tax and community relations.Position SummaryThe Instrument Man will demonstrate knowledge and have experience in the following:- Working knowledge of surveying equipment
- Experience with Topcon Total Stations, TDS software a plus
- Read a survey grade level
- Take level notes and drawing sketches
- Perform basic calculations
- Upload/download data to/from a data collector on a regular basis
- Maintain field equipment
- Stock survey fleet truck with supplies and maintain inventory
- Basic survey fleet truck maintenance (wash, check oil, etc.)
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to stand; walk; sit and talk or hear.
- Ability to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.
