Land Surveyor jobs in Hammond, IN

Description:

Measure and record precisely to determine boundaries (for industrial sites, landfill sites, mines, quarries, etc.)

Verify data and calculations

Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and reports of legal descriptions of surveys

Write descriptions of property boundaries

As needed, research legal documents, survey records, and land titles to clarify information about property boundaries

Produce maps using GPS, surveying instruments, digital images, and satellite photographs

Analyze data using geographic information systems (GIS) and draw charts using computer-aided design (CAD)

Skills & Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Surveying (will accept high school diploma with relevant surveying experience in place of higher education)

Experience with Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, GPS, and Data Collectors

Valid Driver's License

Ability to work overtime

Reliablility

Focus on health & safety compliance
