    Tectonic is currently seeking a full-time Transportation Construction Manager / Resident Engineer to work on an upcoming project in the Philadelphia, PA area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects and for professional growth and development!
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Responsible for overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion, reviewing the project schedule, deliverables, and estimate costs in-depth;
    • Assigning and coordination of field inspection staff;
    • Oversees all onsite and offsite construction activities and monitor compliance with the Contract specifications;
    • Resolve any issues that arise from unforeseen conditions;
    • Responsible for ensuring that project documentation is completed and submitted as required, and completes necessary project close-out;
    • Interpretation of drawings and documents, and preparation of work order documents;
    • Follows project safety protocol;
    • All related duties as required to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Candidates must possess at least one of the following AND a High School Diploma/equivalent:
      • 10 years of PennDOT inspection or related highway construction experience:
        • Professional Engineer License in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; or
        • NICET Level IV in Highway Construction; or
        • PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification; and
        • NECEPT Field Technician Certification; and
        • NICET Level III Certification; or
        • Any other acceptable combination of qualifications meeting client requirements.
    • Proficient understanding and ability to interpret written specifications, plans, and construction documents;
    • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, supervisors, and inspectors;
    • Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational skills;
    • Ability to complete required safety training within a reasonable period of time;
    • A valid, clean driver's license and personal vehicle to travel to project sites.
    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    While performing the essential functions of this position, it is frequently necessary to:
    • Assume a stationary position;
    • Handle, inspect, and/or feel documents, materials and/or equipment relevant to the job;
    • Communicate with colleagues, supervisors, and clients using Company email and telephone systems;
    • Move around on the job-site, including ascending or descending on the landscape or on a ladder, and positioning oneself appropriately to access necessary testing materials and equipment, usually for prolonged periods of time,
    • Lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. for some types of monitoring and inspections,
    • Good visual skills, including focused depth perception, and
    • Regular daily operations of a motor-vehicle or use of public transportation, which may require remaining stationary for extended periods of time.
    Employees may also be required to undergo substance abuse testing in accordance with project requirements, US DOT Regulations, and/or Company policy. The employee may occasionally be required to operate a computer, as well as other related office machinery, such as calculators, printers, and copy machines.

    PAY RANGE
    Tectonic's goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide. Our advertised pay ranges are representative of our good faith effort to provide a reasonable anticipated salary range. The offered pay may be outside of the provided salary range based upon the selected candidate's work location, experience, education, certifications, and capabilities compared to the advertised position.
    Pay Range: $120,000 - $165,000 per year
