Land Surveyors Supervisor jobs in Charleston, WV

Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.   • Production Supervisor The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and providing direction for the workflow and scheduling functions of a high volume, fast-paced manufacturing facility.

    This position is also responsible for managing production personnel and executing production for multiple departments. If you enjoy leading people in a team-oriented, manufacturing work environment, then the Manufacturing Supervisor in our Animal Nutrition plant would be a good fit for you.

    Your focus would be coordinating production, taking the forefront in safety and quality, and employee engagement and compliance with regulatory needs.

    This is a collaborative environment. You will work with other team members to resolve production issues and employee relations and concerns.

    Operational Hours Expected : Monday - Friday, 6 : 30 am - 3 : 30 pm; Occasional Saturdays, 6 : 30 am - 12 pm Required Education / Experience :

    • Bachelor's degree. and 1 years leadership background OR High School degree with 4 years of leadership experience.
    • Manufacturing experience preferred
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow.
    • Strong demonstrated computer skills.
    • Ability to coordinate, provide direction, influence, and coach staff.
    • Ability to work with management to reach and maintain production schedules and goals.
    • Communicator, decision maker, quality orientation, technical / professional knowledge, customer focus, time management, and oriented toward process improvement Job Description :
    • Responsible at all times for promoting a safety culture and awareness within their area. Sets a leading example by supporting and adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times.
    • Responsible to ensure all tasks are performed using proper SOPs / GMPs, safety procedures and other regulations.
    • Ensures Pre-Operation Inspections are performed before starting the Shift / work orders.
    • Ensure inventory is accurate and properly maintained by following SOP and NBi. Learn St. Albans' batching system, WEM.
    • Maintain accurate records of information such as daily receipts, inspection results, etc.
    • Must be able to direct others in keeping with production schedules and goals.
    • Monitor and update Workday time keeping as needed as well as approving time each week.
    • Daily paperwork review.
    • Coach, train, direct, and discipline employees.
    • Partner with multiple departments toexecutedepartment orders and goals are met. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
    • Excellent Teamwork skills / ability to build positive relationships that promote teamwork and a positive working environment.
    • Understanding of Manufacturing processes and production flow.
    • Strong computer skills that includes Microsoft Office and ability toadapt and utilize other programs.
    • Strong time management and multitasking skills.
    • Strong understandingin Food safety andManufacturing processes.
    • Willingness to help the production team by filling in on the line when short-handed.
    • Willingness to run production on Saturdays when needed.
