Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. We are seeking an experienced instrument person. In this role, the individual should have the skills in the field surveying work such as ALTA, topographic, boundary, construction stakeout, horizontal/vertical control, utility asbuilts and GPS. The individual we are seeking is an energetic, adaptable and solution-oriented person who possesses at least 1-3 years of field survey experience and at least 1 year of experience as an Instrument Person. This person will be able to follow instructions but also be able to think independently.
