Land Surveyors Supervisor jobs in Fort Worth, TX

Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
    This position supervises a team of Graduate Engineers, Project Engineers, CAD Technicians and/or Civil Designers. The PM also works with other PMs and internal teams to coordinate project completion. Including the H&H, Environmental, Planning and Survey teams.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
    Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
    Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas
    5-10 years work experience in civil engineering design for commercial/site and/or residential development projects (including paving, grading, drainage, water, sewer)

    2-5 years supervising project teams
