Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a staff who surveys and investigates land surfaces to project precise measurement and location of lines, angles, points, areas, and elevations. Ensures the staff performs project research, boundary calculations, and records accuracy of survey data, notes, and sketches. Being a Land Surveyors Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty or in a related area. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Land Surveyors Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     SUMMARY OF POSITION:

    The primary role of the Land Analyst is to assist the Land and Executive Management teams in making informed decisions regarding the financial feasibility of prospective land acquisitions.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Prepare initial land acquisition and development budgets for prospective land acquisitions
    • Create and maintain detailed financial models that accurately reflect a project’s expected profitability and returns
    • Research and compile supporting data on sales comparisons, demographics, product competition, entitlements, market trends and other information relevant to a project’s viability.
    • Create investment packages for internal land committee meetings and prospective investors
    • Communicate with investors as they perform their due diligence and underwriting of prospective projects.
    • Perform due diligence procedures for potential land acquisitions.
    • Other tasks may include updating the land acquisition pipeline and database, research ownership and contact information of off-market properties and drafting initial offer letters.

     

    EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

    • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (Finance and Real Estate are preferred)
    • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
    • Comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills and time management skills
    • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships
    • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
